Karen Rustad is a vagabond pixel-stained technopeasant from Minnesota. She graduated in 2008 from Scripps College with a BA in Media Studies. She proceeded to move from Claremont, CA to Arlington, VA to Atlanta, GA to Philadelphia, PA to Edina, MN over a 18-month period. She likes indie rock, thunderstorms, gardening, aebleskiver, and Moroccan mint tea.
Karen has drawn ever since she could hold a marker. Her first regular cartooning job was at Zephyrus, her high school newspaper. Before Zebulon, she had two (crappy) webcomics to her name: This Postmodern World (spring 2005) and Nosve Release (2005-2006). Four years later, it seemed time to try webcomicking again.
